Verification Testing
- Continuity: Protective conductors < 0.05Ω
- Insulation Resistance: ≥ 1 MΩ at 500V DC
- Polarity: At all points, distribution boards
- Earth Electrode: TT systems typically < 10Ω
- Loop Impedance (Zs): Verify Zs ≤ tabulated

- Phase Sequence: Correct rotation
SELV: 250V DC → 0.5 MΩ
≤500V: 500V DC → 1.0 MΩ
>500V: 1000V DC → 1.0 MΩ
General Rules
- InA: Assembly rated current
- Inc: Circuit rated current
- RDF: Rated Diversity Factor (0.7-1.0)
Σ(Inc × RDF) ≤ InA
| Component | Max Rise | Max Temp |
|---|---|---|
| Bare Cu busbars | 70K | 105°C |
| Bolted connections | 65K | 100°C |
| External surfaces | 30K | 65°C |
| Handles | 15K | 50°C |
Temperature Rise
Method 1: Testing (all ratings)
Method 2: Calculation (≤1,600A) per IEC TR 60890
Method 3: Design Rules (derivation from tested design)
Pconductors = I² × R × L
Design Rules Verification
Must be ≥ Reference: Busbar cross-section, spacing, SCPD I²t
Must be ≤ Reference: Circuit rating, support spacing, unprotected length
Icp = 2.6 × Icw (60Hz)
Safety Requirements
- Voltage fluctuation: ±10%
- Frequency: ±2% continuous, ±4% short-time
- 3-phase imbalance: ≤ 3%
| Circuit | Max Disconnection |
|---|---|
| ≤50V AC final | 0.4s |
